The dust has settled on our launch match on Friday and we all wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone that made it happen. We are especially indebted to Potton Town CC for hosting the event and providing the setting for a wonderful evening. In doing so Potton has become our first Connected Club!!
A match played in great spirit coupled with our enthusiastic raffle ticket sellers and BBQ meant that our night was a success. We raised just over £640 with all of that money going towards our first project in Nepal. The money will go a long way towards our goal of supplying our club in Nepal with the equipment and expertise that will allow them to flourish.
Our crowdfunder is still going strong and if you were not able to make the event on Friday then please consider donating to our cause. The link can be found below:
Thank you for all of our support so far and stay tuned for some exciting developments coming in the next few weeks and months.

We have made the local news, twice. Thanks to the Biggleswade Chronicle for two articles promoting our event on Friday and telling the people of Bedfordshire a little bit about our work. You can find the articles here:
20/20 match launches overseas charity
Fundraising cricket match to help club in Nepal
After a lot of hard work and organisation Connecting Clubs will be launching this Friday! Potton Town CC will play host to a night to remember. A T20 cricket match will be played out at the Hollow accompanied by a BBQ, a raffle and, of course, a bar. With all the money raised going towards our first partnership with the Horizon Cricket Academy in Nepal, we hope for a bumper crowd.
Connecting Clubs has assembled an all star team of local players to join founder Angus Berry and trustee Thomas Fletcher in the charity's inaugural fixture. More details about the game can be found on Facebook.
Alongside the money raised at the game on Friday we have also arranged a crowdfunder to ensure that we raise as much money as we can to really get the ball rolling on our first project. Please check it out and, if you can, donate! We look forward to seeing you on Friday and will of course report back with a ball-by-ball account of the game.
